What It Costs

The following fee structure applies to students joining NorthStarUK from September 2008.

This fee structure applies to both individual families and schools. Our fees do not include the provision of textbooks.

Students undertaking pre-GCSE courses (one year course)

£278 per student per subject.

£130 per subject for curriculum-only courses (Please note that curriclum-only courses cannot be purchased by schools)

Students undertaking GCSE and IGCSE courses (two year course)

£318 per student per subject per year i.e. a full GCSE/IGCSE course costs £636.

Students may not join after the January in the first year of a GCSE/IGCSE course and we are unable to accept students directly into Year 11 courses without previously completing our year 10 course.

Please note that Coordinated Science (Double IGCSE) is charged as TWO courses.

Students undertaking A level courses (two year course)

£350 per student per subject per year i.e. a full A level course costs £700. Students are able to stop at the end of the first year and on successful completion of exams obtain an AS level qualification.

Students may not join after the November in the first year of an A level course.

Payment Options

We offer families and schools a range of flexible payment options:

ONE lump sum.
TEN monthly instalments. Please note that the number of repayments is reduced for those starting later in the year.
THREE instalments consisting of a 50% payment due on the 1 September, followed by TWO further payments of 25% each due on the 1 December 2008 and the 1 April 2009.
Whichever payment option is chosen, all enrolment forms must be submitted with a 30% deposit (tuition fees only).

Payment can be made by cheque, credit/debit card or Paypal. We make no additional charge for receiving payments by debit/credit cards or by PayPal.

Discounts to course fees (excluding carriage and any resources)

5% for all students enrolled before 11 July 2008.

5% for families enrolling for 6 or more courses.

Curriculum-only courses do NOT qualify for discounts.

Additional fees

Shipping and postage are charged at cost.

A fee of £10 per course is charged for each (I)GCSE course that has a coursework element to cover special delivery costs in year 11.

Fee reductions for mid-year enrolment

For pre-GCSE students joining mid-year:

Any time during the Autumn Term - no reduction - full fees payable.
Any time during the Spring Term - 1/3 fee reduction - 2/3rds fees payable +£30 administration fee per student payable.
Any time during the Summer Term - 2/3 fee reduction - 1/3rd fees payable +£30 per student payable.

No fee reduction applies for curriculum-only, GCSE, IGCSE or A level courses.
